Dr. Eric Hakimov will work with other senior ICF leaders on investments and strategies across its key growth markets.

ICF has hired a new vice president of corporate development in Dr. Eric Hakimov, who will help lead the company’s acquisition efforts and integration processes after the purchases close.

The company said Monday that Hakimov will work with other ICF leaders on investments across its key growth markets such as federal health, government technology, energy, disaster management, and climate and infrastructure services.

A two-decade corporate finance veteran, Hakimov most recently worked as a vice president of corporate development and strategy at Labcorp.

His career also includes leadership roles at companies such as IQVIA, Monument Capital Group and JPMorgan. ICF described his areas of experience as also including joint ventures, divestitures and venture capital investments.

Acquisitions are a key leg of ICF’s strategy with seven transactions closed in the past five years. Those have concentrated on digital modernization, the environment and infrastructure.
