Zscaler hires homeland security veteran for senior director role
Bob Joachim brings nearly two decades of work in cybersecurity, budgeting and government operations to the cloud security company.
Zscaler has hired Bob Joachim as senior director of U.S. government partnerships, bringing with him nearly two decades of work in cybersecurity, budgeting and government operations.
Joachim most recently worked as a senior staffer on the House Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee, leading efforts to secure funding for programs at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
Prior to that, he served as deputy budget director at the Homeland Security Department and acting budget director for U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
“Bob’s exceptional background and expertise will be a true asset to our team. With his experience at DHS, and his longstanding partnership with Congress, he has been pivotal to the increased authority, funding, and responsibilities of CISA,” Ryan Gillis, senior vice president and global head of government partnerships at Zscaler, said in a release.
