Digital Management Inc. wants more of a footing in IT infrastructure modernization programs across civilian agencies.

Digital Management Inc. acquired Aurotech, a data science and engineering services provider that serves federal civilian agencies.

Terms of the transaction announced Tuesday were not disclosed. DMI's purchase of Aurotech aims to expand digital transformation services, including data and analytics offerings.

Silver Spring, Maryland-headquartered Aurotech was founded in 2007 and its customer base includes the Food and Drug Administration, Federal Trade Commission and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

The company focuses on helping clients modernize their IT infrastructure and applications with the goal of gleaning more insights from assets.

For DMI, this represents the government technology company’s first acquisition since receiving an investment late last year from private equity firm OceanSound Partners that provides more resources for acquisitions and pursuing organic growth.

G Squared Capital Partners served as financial adviser to Aurotech. Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP served as legal counsel to DMI.
