Altamira hires new chief growth officer

Altamira Technologies it has hired nearly three-decade market veteran and former Serco Inc. executive Craig Reed as president and chief growth officer.

McLean, Virginia-based Altamira announced Tuesday that Reed’s appointment also coincides with the formation of a new executive management committee that also includes CEO Ted Davies and Chief Operating Officer Blaine Worthington.

“National security customers continue to need high-end, agile, mission focused companies that bring innovation at scale.  We are excited about our position as a fully integrated platform focused completely in this growing market," Davies said. "I look forward to working with Craig, Blaine and the entire team to continue to distinguish ourselves with our customers and with our people.”

Prior to Altamira, Reed was chief growth officer at Serco Group’s North American subsidiary and oversaw its acquisition of the former Alion Science and Technology Corp. naval systems business unit last year

Serco posted $1.08 billion in revenue last year in the Americas to account for 28 percent of the U.K.-based parent company’s worldwide business.

Reed joins Altamira amid a series of other additions to the government technology outfit’s leadership team earlier this year, including Chief Financial Officer Adam Omar in the spring and Chief Human Capital Officer Caroline McConnell over the summer.

The company also saw two new board members join during the summer in Ron Moultrie, a retired National Security Agency operations director; and Dave Wajsgras, former president of Raytheon’s government services business.

Reed also arrives at Altamira one year after the company was acquired by a group of investors led by private equity firm ClearSky. Altamira itself was created in 2013 through a merger of Invertix and Near Infinity.
