Halfaker extends VA run of success with $189M data consolidation order

Halfaker and Associates has secured a potential five-year, $189 million task order to help the Veterans Affairs Department consolidate enterprise data and services.

In a release Tuesday, Halfaker said it will work to introduce automation tools and align new feature development and data management techniques as part of a broader effort to streamline services for veterans.

Five bids were submitted for the order, according to Federal Procurement Data System information. The VA wants to make it easier for its service providers and veterans to find, identify and access data on those in the latter category.

This represents Halfaker’s third win of a VA contract with a ceiling value north of $100 million in the past 12 months, including a $244 million order to roll out a new enterprise survey platform for collecting feedback from veterans and a $164 million award to upgrade the VA’s IT systems for financial services.

Both of those and the most recent win all fall under the VA’s $22.3 billion T4NG vehicle, which Halfaker is one of 28 primes on. Halfaker has booked approximately $282.4 million in orders against the vehicle awarded in 2016, according to Deltek data.
