First protest hits OASIS small business on-ramp

The first protest has been filed against the OASIS vehicle's small business on-ramp that saw its first set of Pool 1 awards last week.
Last week, the General Services Administration made 89 awards on Pool 1 of the OASIS small business on-ramp. And the first protest has now come in this week.
NetCentrics Technology is protesting over its proposal being rejected by GSA, which has weathered multiple bid protests involving the OASIS on-ramp competitions. In fact, NetCentrics’ protest is the 27th filed protest over the on-ramp going back more than a year.
NetCentrics also is embroiled in another, unrelated protest involving a Defense Department contract that they are continuing to fight for at the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Less is known about this OASIS protest currently, but GSA has used a self-scoring point system that has been used to eliminate bidders who don’t meet a certain score.
GSA has said that 61 more awards are coming for Pool 1. But some companies were informed that they were being eliminated from the competition and NetCentrics apparently is one of them.
Still to come are the OASIS small business on-ramp awards in Pools 2, 3 and 4.
