By Light adds SRA vet to leadership team

By Light Professional IT Services has added nearly three-decade federal market veteran Tom Nixon to its leadership team as a senior vice president.

Nixon will lead the Arlington, Virginia-based company’s work with homeland security and law enforcement agencies and oversee efforts to grow in those sectors, By Light said Wednesday.

More recently, Nixon was chief growth officer at MetroStar Systems and before that held the same role at SRA International.

He was part of the SRA leadership group that steered the company through the merger to create what became CSRA.

By Light is backed by private equity firm Sagewind Capital, which first acquired the technology services contractor in 2017 and has since led it through three acquisitions to move it up the middle tier.
