The Army has awarded six companies positions on a 10-year, $900 million contract to perform technical and engineering services in support of tests and evaluations across the Defense Department.

Twelve bids in total were submitted for this recompeted contract managed by the Army Corps of Engineers, DOD said in its Thursday contracts digest.

Awardees are:

  • American Systems
  • Booz Allen Hamilton
  • Cubic Corp.
  • DCS Corp.
  • Scientific Research Corp. (incumbent)
  • Wyle Laboratories (incumbent, acquired by KBR in 2016)

Bevilacqua Research Corp. and Science Applications International Corp. are incumbents on the current contract that expires July 7, according to Deltek data.

The contract supports the DOD-wide Joint Test and Evaluation Program, which started in 1972 to assess interoperability across the military services, evaluate joint technical and operational concepts, and recommend improvements among other objectives related to testing.

Test activities for the program include design, planning, engineering, modeling and simulation, training, programming, data collection and analysis.
