IRS lays out $512M case management IT recompete plan
A draft performance work statement is ready for industry to read through and weigh in on.
The IRS has given industry the size and specs for its recompete of a contract covering IT portfolio management support services for the agency's enterprise case management system.
The multiple-award blanket purchase agreement will have a ceiling of $512 million over up to five years, the IRS said in a draft performance work statement issued Friday.
Businesses and other entities interested in the program have until May 1 to respond.
In that PWS and a prior sources sought notice, the IRS describes its enterprise case management system as a cloud-based platform that was stood up to aid in the agency's collection and analysis of data. The IRS also adopted that environment to modernize, upgrade and consolidate legacy systems.
Work under the upcoming BPA will include strategy and planning, enterprise services and operations, cybersecurity, user and network services and program management services.
Booz Allen Hamilton is the incumbent under a potential $297.9 million task order awarded in April 2020 that expires in April 2025, according to Deltek data.
That order covers both solution development and solution integration services, but the IRS plans to break up that work into two separate contracts this time around.
