The General Services Administration gives itself and the industry additional time to do their part for this government-wide professional services contract vehicle.

Companies are getting an extra month to put together and submit their bids in pursuit of the massive OASIS+ contract vehicle for professional services across the federal government.

The new deadline for proposal submission is 4 p.m. Eastern time on Oct. 20, the General Services Administration said Wednesday in a notice to its Interact portal.

GSA plans to formalize the extension via an amendment on Friday (tomorrow), which was the prior due date.

OASIS+ is the follow-on to the current OASIS vehicle that agencies use to buy professional services that are not IT-centric in nature, the latter of which is what the Alliant 2 and Polaris vehicles are for.

Amid the due date extension, OASIS+ is in a protest situation as Boston Consulting Group is challenging the solicitation that asks bidders for cost breakdowns of their fixed prices.

BCG claims GSA is out of step with procurement regulations that govern when and how federal agencies can collect pricing information from bidders.

The Government Accountability Office's deadline to rule on BCG's protest is Dec. 6. GSA can collect and look at proposals, but cannot make awards until GAO makes its decision or dismisses the protest after a corrective action to address BCG's complaint.
