DOD awards $1.5B professional services vehicle
Work will focus on supporting the department's senior civilian leadership on big-picture matters.
The Defense Department agency responsible for administrative and management support functions has awarded nine companies positions on a potential five-year, $1.5 billion contract vehicle for analytic and technical support services.
DOD's Washington Headquarters Service sought broad industry support on matters related to policy development, planning, resource management and program evaluation. The department's senior civilian leadership is responsible for overseeing those areas.
Awardees as announced in the Pentagon's Monday contracts digest are:
- Accelerated Business Strategies
- Booz Allen Hamilton
- Eagle Harbor Solutions
- LMI
- MDW Associates
- Red Gate Group
- Redhorse
- Science Applications International Corp.
- Whitney, Bradley & Brown (acquired by Serco Group's U.S. subsidiary)
Proposals for this iteration of the Analytic and Technical Support Services contract were due in September 2020, nearly seven months before Serco Inc. completed its purchase of WBB.
The department’s undersecretaries for acquisition and sustainment and research and engineering, plus so-called Fourth Estate agencies other than the service branches can acquire services through the ATSS vehicle.
Companies will focus their work on acquisition and sustainment oversight support, engineering and agile methodologies, capability portfolio management, acquisition intelligence, policy analysis and support, and business and financial assistance.
Other areas of interest to DOD WHS include data science, data analytics, data governance, legislative analysis and international programs and security.
