Advanced Systems and Software Engineering Technologies has won a potential five-year, $292.3 million contract to help the Navy develop and integrate new technologies into unmanned and aircraft.

Only small businesses could bid on the contract and three of them submitted proposals, the Pentagon said in its Tuesday awards digest.

Ridgecrest, California-headquartered ASSETT will be responsible for providing analysis, configuration and data management and logistics support services to aircraft integrated product teams across the Naval Air Warfare Center's weapons division.

Types of aircraft covered under the contract include unmanned platforms and manned fleets of the Navy F-35, F/A-18, EA-18G, AH-1/UH-1 and AV-8B.
