BigBear hires new technology chief
This former IBM Watson Health executive also created one of the first companies focused on learning and natural language processing as-a-service.
BigBear.ai has hired a new chief technology officer in Dr. Theodore Tanner, a three-decade veteran who formerly held the same role at the business formerly known as IBM Watson Health.
Tanner joins BigBear to help lead its push to become more of a leader in the integration of AI algorithms and solutions in government and highly-regulated customer environments, the company said Monday.
Prior to IBM, Tanner held architect positions at Apple and Microsoft. He also co-founded several startups and is credited with creating BeliefNetworks, one of the first learning and natural language processing as-a-service companies.
