Private equity firm Godspeed Capital formed the company out of three acquisitions.

On the heels of its launch, defense technology integrator SilverEdge Government Solutions has hired a new chief human capital officer in 25-year market veteran Emily Ringer.

Ringer will be in charge of SilverEdge’s human resources, talent development and communication functions with responsibility for aligning those to the company's overall strategy.

SilverEdge has also tasked Ringer with leading efforts to create the kind of work environment and culture employees want to be a part of, the company said Thursday.

Columbia, Maryland-headquartered SilverEdge unveiled itself to the market earlier in June after its private equity owner Godspeed Capital combined three acquired businesses into that single entity.

Ringer's career prior to SilverEdge includes human resources and operations leadership roles at EverWatch, Ventech Solutions, and the companies formerly known as KeyW and Enlighten IT Consulting.
