Our latest roundup of executive movement in the government market begins with the company that spun off from Peraton and includes several other hires made in the wake of large acquisitions and integrations.

As noted Wednesday in this story on Robbins-Gioia's new CEO, a top-level executive appointment gets past us once in a while despite our best efforts to keep tabs on them all.

Other times they come to us in bunches, which gives us the chance to present all of them at once with some context accompanying the change in job and employer.

Arcfield

A spinoff of Peraton, the systems engineering and integration company has added two more executives to the management team led by CEO Kevin Kelly.

Lori Becker, Arcfield

Lori Becker has joined Arcfield as chief financial officer from Sierra Nevada Corp., where she was that company's CFO, while 23-year Secret Service veteran Mike Smith was named chief security officer.

Becker’s career prior to Sierra Nevada includes the CFO roles at Deltek and LMI; along with other financial leadership positions at Peraton, Akima and the former Vangent.

Smith most recently was special agent in charge at the Secret Service’s office of protective operations.

Their appointments follow the hires of two former LGS Innovations executives that worked with Kelly there: Robert Gallegos as chief operating officer and Chris McCall as chief administration officer.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions

Two-decade health sector veteran Kelly Hoover Thompson has joined the global data and analytics business to lead its government team focused on that health vertical.

Thompson will lead efforts to advance LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ positioning in federal, state and local government markets amid the push for greater interoperability.

Her background includes experience state regulator and agency head in multiple health and human services agencies in Pennsylvania, as well as CEO of the startup Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative.

She also is on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s board of scientific counselors, among other advisory roles.

Maximus

Amid a period of rapid growth through acquisitions, the publicly-traded government services company has brought in a new vice president for federal market and competition strategy.

Liz Anthony, Maximus

Liz Anthony will lead Maximus’ efforts to integrate its technology and consulting services, as well as lead the evolution of the company’s brand among federal agencies.

Most recently, Anthony was senior vice president of marketing at IT services company Vion Corp. She also has held leadership roles at Cisco and NetApp.

Reston, Virginia-headquartered Maximus completed two of its largest-ever acquisitions in the spring of last year in Attain’s federal business and Veterans Evaluation Services for a combined price of $1.8 billion.

Lilt

This maker of language translation technology is looking for growth in the government market and has hired an executive to lead that charge.

Larry Gloss will lead managed platform sales and delivery across restricted information environments as vice president and general manager for public sector.

Gloss joins Lilt from BluVector, where he was executive director for the cybersecurity company’s global public sector business.

San Francisco-headquartered Lilt provides its translation technology to enterprises for use in marketing, support, e-commerce and localization functions.

Customer Value Partners

For the newly-created chief customer officer post, this business and technology consulting firm looked within its own ranks nearly one year after a major acquisition.

Lisa Brown, Customer Value Partners

Lisa Brown will be responsible for achieving customer satisfaction and project execution through CVP’s four practices: business transformation, cybersecurity, data science and engineering, and technology modernization.

In the summer of last year, CVP acquired Atlas Research to increase the former’s presence across federal health programs.

She has been with Fairfax, Virginia-headquartered CVP for 13 years and was most recently senior vice president of delivery operations.

Prior to CVP, she spent 10 years at contact center outsourcing firm ISky as vice president of client services.
