L3Harris realigns business segments

L3Harris Technologies has reduced its number of business segments from four to three after a portfolio shaping process that began after the company’s creation in 2019.

The defense company said Monday its three segments going forward will be integrated mission systems, communication systems, and space and airborne systems.

Aviation systems was the fourth segment L3Harris reported on in its financial releases since the merger to create the company closed in Summer 2019.

L3Harris will likely discuss this realignment when it releases financial results for its fourth quarter and full calendar year 2021. Those numbers typically get unveiled sometime between late January or early February.

No impacts to financial results or workforce were disclosed in the announcement.
