Find opportunities — and win them.

Intelligent Waves' founder and owner hands over the chief executive role as he prepares to focus on being chairman of the board of directors and leading a second company he stood up.

Less than one year after joining Intelligent Waves: President Tony Crescenzo has been promoted to CEO of the technology systems integrator as its founder and owner steps back from that chief executive role.

Jared Shepard will continue to lead IW as chairman of the board of directors as the company continues charting its strategy for growth and scalability.

“Tony's high-energy leadership style and ability to recruit top management talent has enabled us to maximize the value and impact of our company,” Shepard said in a release Wednesday.

Intelligent Waves provides enterprise IT, software-defined networks, cybersecurity, secure mobility, advanced analytics and knowledge management services and solutions to agencies.

The 16-year-old company lists its technology focus areas as including artificial intelligence; machine learning; and solutions for operations, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.

By stepping back as IW’s CEO, Shepard will also have more time to focus on the second company he spun out and continues to serve as chief executive of.

Hypori stood up last year as a secure mobility services provider for government and commercial customers seeking to put cloud computing resources on all mobile or edge devices. The idea is to help remote users access data and apps in a separate, secure workspace.
