Dell promotes new federal sales lead

Dell Technologies has promoted nearly two-decade industry veteran and current vice president Jim Kelly to senior VP of federal sales in North America, a spokesperson confirmed to WT on Thursday.

Kelly was most recently VP for Dell’s defense and intelligence business, where he also led strategy development and solution sales to agencies in those communities.

He rejoined Dell in 2015 to that position after successive year-long stints at Microsoft and Symantec, where he was respectively senior director of the Army business and a direct sales manager.

During his first 14-year tenure at Dell, Kelly managed the company’s Army and defense joint solution sales organizations.
