Noblis wins new work at Defense Threat Reduction Agency

The nonprofit has captured a new $263.3 million contract to provide advisory and assistance services to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
Noblis has scored a $263.3 million take away by winning a contract to provide the Defense Threat Reduction Agency with advisory and assistance services.
The nonprofit science organization will support the agency’s Cooperative Threat Reduction Program through May 2026 if all options are exercised.
Incumbent Booz Allen Hamilton first won the contract in 2010 and then the recompete in 2016, according to Deltek.
The Defense Department awards digest from Wednesday says Noblis was one of two bidders. Booz Allen officials have not confirmed if they were the other competitor.
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency works to counter threats from chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosive weapons. DTRA also works on threats from improvised explosive devices as well as nuclear weapon deterrents.
Some of the work Noblis will do includes support for policy development, acquisition management, and program and project management.
The work will be divided between facilities in Lorton and Reston, Virginia.
