Jacobs hires former Army CIO

Jacobs adds the just-retired Army chief information officer to its leadership team as the company continues its push for more technology-related work with government agencies.
As Jacobs digests another government-focused acquisition, the company also continues to expand its leadership team responsible for pursuing further growth among those customers.
Former Army Chief Information Officer Bruce Crawford has joined Jacobs as a senior vice president in the company’s critical mission solutions segment that houses much of its federal technology and professional services work.
Crawford’s official title is SVP of strategic development and he will be responsible for the continued iteration of solutions Jacobs offers, the company said Wednesday.
He retired over the summer with the rank of lieutenant general after a 34-year Army career that concluded with service as its CIO, a role that placed him as the lead IT and cybersecurity adviser to both the branch’s secretary and chief of staff.
Jacobs announced its hire of Crawford one day after word came out that the company acquired The Buffalo Group for an undisclosed sum to gain more cyber and intelligence work with federal agencies.
