DIA unveils solicitation for $12.6B IT contract

The Defense Intelligence Agency has released the much-anticipated solicitation for a potential 10-year, $12.6 billion contract that aims to consolidate much of its IT acquisition activity into a single vehicle.

Proposals for iteration number three of the Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise contract are due to DIA on Aug. 21, the agency said in a Beta.Sam.Gov notice Monday. Nov. 1 is the intended start date.

Work will take place over an initial five-year base period with the option to continue the contract for five more years after that. five-year option.

SITE III covers IT requirements and technical support services to DIA and other Defense Department intelligence agencies. This contract is also intended to help other intelligence community members with external ordering of IT services.

DIA originally intended to compete two different contracts as follow-ons to the current $6 billion Enhanced Solutions for the IT Enterprise vehicle, also known as E-SITE, which was awarded in 2015.

One would have covered classified and unclassified data center support and cloud computing services around IT infrastructure. The second would have been for software engineering, data integration and other services to support applications.
