Find opportunities — and win them.

Cognosante adds to its executive ranks Bridget Gauer, former director of the National Institutes of Health's IT acquisition shop.

Cognosante has hired nearly two-decade federal acquisition veteran and former National Institutes of Health executive Bridget Gauer as senior vice president of strategy, the company said Monday.

Gauer was most recently director for NIH’s IT Acquisition and Assessment Center also known as NITAAC and led its government-wide acquisition contracts including CIO-SP3 and its small business counterpart.

She also is a former division director of contracts for the Health and Human Services Department’s assistant secretary of preparedness and response. Prior to that, she worked as acting director for the acquisition program support division within HHS’ Office of Acquisition Management, Contracts, and Grants Office.
