LMI promotes fellow to technology, strategy chief
LMI elevates one of its senior technical fellows to the role of chief technology and strategy officer, which includes responsibility over partnerships.
LMI has promoted Sharon Hays, one of its senior technical fellows, to chief technology and strategy officer one year after she joined the nonprofit government consultancy.
Hays will work with leaders across LMI’s service lines of advanced analytics, digital services, logistics and management advisory services to ensure they fulfill technical requirements and incorporate emerging technologies.
In a release, LMI said it has also tasked Hays to help oversee academic and industry partnerships including those forged through the firm’s LMI Ventures organization that invests in and partners with emerging technology companies.
Hays joined Tysons, Virginia-based LMI in September 2018 from General Dynamics’ IT services segment, where she managed agency portfolios and let its high-performance computing center of excellence.
She also spent nearly a decade in government service, including the role of associate director and deputy director for science at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
