Tetra Tech appoints new president

Tetra Tech said Monday it has promoted one of its executive vice presidents, Leslie Shoemaker , as president of the company.

A 28-year company veteran, Shoemaker was most recently both executive VP of operations for Tetra Tech and president of its commercial and international services group.

Her career at Tetra Tech also includes a stint as its chief strategy officer and the company credits her with leading its growth strategy from being U.S.-focused to having a more global presence.

As president, Shoemaker reports directly to CEO Dan Batrack.

Pasadena, California-based Tetra Tech has within the past three years made more inroads into the federal technology market through acquisitions in an effort to both diversify and complement its engineering and construction business, not unlike what other so-called “AEC” firms have done as well.

That run of deals includes the 2016 purchase of analytics company Indus Corp., followed by last year’s acquisition of aviation software provider Bridgenet International and this year’s buy of IT consulting firm eGlobalTech.
