Boeing's board adds former Navy chief Richardson
Boeing's board of directors elects as a new member retired Navy Adm. John Richardson, who recently retired as the branch's top uniformed officer.
Boeing said Friday that its board of directors has elected as a new member retired Navy Adm. John Richardson, most recently chief of naval operations from September 2015 until his August 2019 retirement.
Richardson will also join Boeing’s aerospace safety committee that was formed in August to monitor aircraft designs in the wake of the widely-reported safety issues surrounding the 737 Max airplane.
A 37-year Navy veteran, Richardson will also join the board of directors’ special programs committee.
