SOSi purchases comms, IT services outfit
SOS International makes acquisition number four in that same number of years in buying communications and IT support company Vykin Corp.
SOS International has made its fourth acquisition in the past four years with the company’s latest deal being for communications and IT support company Vykin Corp.
Terms of the transaction were undisclosed, but SOSi said Wednesday the move gives it additional IT and intelligence offerings in areas like cloud development, command and control, and intelligence systems.
Reston, Virginia-based SOSi also gains a position on the Defense Intelligence Agency’s almost $6 billion “E-SITE” contract for broad IT services, plus a National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency program that supports cloud development and agile efforts.
Vykin is certified by the National Security Agency to integrate commercial network offerings in classified environments. The company has a presence in the Pacific and Southwest Asia regions, as well as Europe.
Last year, SOSi purchased STG Inc. amid the latter company’s struggles with growth and a mounting debt load. Creditors eventually took control of STG and the sale to SOSi was disclosed five months later.
SOSi’s run of acquisitions began in 2016 with the deal for intelligence solutions provider New World Solutions, followed by the following year’s purchase of data analytics firm Defense Group Inc.
