The Army has ordered a set of ground-based tactical systems from General Dynamics’ IT hardware business segment under a one-year, $296.1 million production contract.
General Dynamics Mission Systems will supply the enhanced version of its Prophet system designed to support signals intelligence and electronic warfare functions in the battlefield. There were no other bidders for the contract that expires on June 15, 2020, the Defense Department said in its Tuesday awards digest.
Prophet Enhanced is designed with a modular architecture in an effort to help users simplify its integration onto a combat vehicle, plus give soldiers situational awareness and battlefield surveillance.
