Leidos books $278M Army equipment support order

Leidos has booked a potential five-year, $278 million contract to help the Army field, customize and modernize IT equipment and other systems in order to support training and readiness for soldiers.

This order covers one base year followed by four individual option years and is Leidos' first win under the Army's $37.4 billion "RS3" services contract vehicle, the company said Monday.

The order supports the total package fielding and logistics of new and existing Army computer and communication technology, weapon systems and equipment.

Technical staffers at Leidos will provide fielding services, customizable equipment configuration, equipment set up and unit instruction in support of the Army's Communications Electronics Command and end users.

Additional areas of support include engineering; research, development, test and evaluation; logistics; acquisition; and strategic planning.
