Deloitte adds former assistant Navy secretary Juan Garcia

Deloitte said Monday it has hired former Juan Garcia, a former assistant navy secretary for manpower, as a managing director in the consulting firm’s government and public services practice.

Garcia will concentrate on work with defense, security and justice agencies to help them carry out workforce transformation executives.

He more recently was global leader for associate development out of Amazon’s Seattle headquarters, where he oversaw the company’s workforce development and “Career Choice” program.

His service as assistant secretary for manpower took place during the Obama administration.
