Small biz captures $435M DTRA IT contract

Small business TekSynap takes a $435 million contract for IT services to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency as the large business solicitation is pending.
Small business TekSynap has won a potential 10-year, $435 million contract to carry out enterprise information technology services and support for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
DTRA received 13 proposals for the contract to support the agency’s information integration and technology services directorate along with the chief information officer, the Defense Department said in its Friday awards digest. The contract has an initial five-year base period and a five-year option period that would extend work to August 2028.
This was the small business track of DTRA’s larger “Agency Wide IT Services and Support” contract umbrella being recompeted in two parts. The full-and-open track has a $535 million ceiling value and its solicitation is currently estimated to be released in October, according to Deltek data.
Reston, Virginia-based TekSynap has received an initial three task orders with a combined value of nearly $132 million for IT service provisioning, operations, cybersecurity and other services related to testing, transitioning and integration.
