CACI books $122M Navy electronic comms order

CACI International has received a five-year task order with a $122 million ceiling value to develop specialized electronic communications systems for the Navy to use in rapid response events.

The General Services Administration awarded the order through its OASIS vehicle and on behalf of the Navy through GSA's Federal Systems Integration and Management Center that helps other agencies conduct IT acquisitions, CACI said Wednesday.

Work will include rapid prototyping, fabrication, fielding and maintenance of interoperable systems and solutions to facilitate communications and knowledge transfer among Defense Department and other federal, state, and local government agencies during crisis and emergency events around the world.

Technologies supported include emergency management response systems, public safety networks, enterprise land mobile radios, and agency interoperable communications such as UHF, VHF, satellite, audiovisual and radio systems.

This order supports the Special Communications Mission Solutions division within the Naval Air Warfare Center's aircraft division.
