Serco's Americas arm hires Watson as federal services lead
Serco Group’s Americas arm adds former Science Applications International Corp. executive Tom Watson as senior vice president of federal services.
Serco Group’s Americas region subsidiary has hired 25-year government market veteran and former Science Applications International Corp. executive Tom Watson as senior vice president of the federal services business unit.
He will lead operations and business development strategies for the citizen services and defense markets at Reston, Virginia-based Serco Inc. Watson will report directly to Chairman and CEO Dave Dacquino, the subsidiary said Monday.
The federal services unit of Serco Inc. offers intelligence, logistics, personnel readiness, acquisition and program management, modelling, simulation and training, business processing, and case management services for defense and civilian agencies.
While at SAIC, Watson oversaw the almost $1 billion-revenue Navy and Marine Corps customer group with 4,500 employees.
Watson spent 22 years at SAIC and joined the company from the former Resource Consultants Inc., which Serco Inc. acquired in 2005. He also served six years in active duty with the Navy as an electronics technician.
