Five to share in $225M DARPA program support contract

Five companies have received positions on a potential six-year, $225.7 million contract to provide technical and other support services for current and future Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency programs.

Awardees will vie for task orders over the contract’s duration that covers five base years and includes an option to extend for one additional year. All five bidders were chosen for the contract, the Defense Department said in its Monday contracts digest.

Winners are Booz Allen Hamilton, CENTRA Technology, ECS Federal, ManTech SRS Technologies and Schafer Government Services. Engineering and IT services firm Belcan acquired Schafer last year.

Solicitation documents indicate technology areas supported under the contract as including ground systems, maritime systems, air systems and space systems. DARPA cites cross-cutting themes for those as agile development, cooperative autonomy, unmanned systems, and power and propulsion.

The Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic awarded the contract on DARPA’s behalf.
