Fluor elevates D'Agostino to government lead, Stanski named CFO
Fluor promotes Thomas D’Agostino to lead its $2.7 billion government segment. He replaces newly elevated CFO Bruce Stanski.
Engineering and construction contractor Fluor has promoted former government group strategic planning lead and 36-year government veteran Thomas D'Agostino to lead the $2.7 billion business segment.
The appointment takes effect Aug. 4 and will see former government group leader Bruce Stanski move to the chief financial officer role at that time. Stanski will succeed the retiring Biggs Porter.
D'Agostino joined Fluor in 2013 after his retirement from government that concluded with a six-year term as administrator of the National Nuclear Security Administration and undersecretary for nuclear energy. NNSA is responsible for the safety, security and effectiveness of the nuclear weapons stockpile.
Stanski has led the government business since 2009, when the segment generated close to $1 billion in revenue. Fluor credits Stanski with the group's expansion in markets such as the Defense, Energy, Homeland Security and State Departments; plus the U.K.'s Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
Government revenue represented 14 percent of Fluor's total $19 billion in sales last year. That segment's sales were 3 percent of overall corporate revenue in 2009 when Stanski was appointed group president.
