CenturyLink's Sanchack to take new role post-Level 3 close

CenturyLink further details the leadership picture after its Level 3 acquisition closes, through which current federal lead Erich Sanchack will transition into a new role.

CenturyLink has further detailed what its executive leadership team will look like after the combination with Level 3 closes with the latest moves slated to impact the public sector management ranks.

Post-close, current CenturyLink Federal Solutions Senior Vice President and General Manager Erich Sanchack will transition into a new role as senior vice president for IT services and new market development, the company announced Wednesday. 

Sanchack will report to the combined company's future president and chief operating officer Jeff Storey, a CenturyLink spokesperson confirmed to Washington Technology.

David Young, Level 3's regional vice president for strategic government, will keep the same position at the combined entity. Young will report to Ed Morche, incoming CenturyLink president of strategic enterprise, federal government and state government.

Young will be responsible for all of CenturyLink's federal routes to market and research and educational institutions. He will also support state government contract opportunities.
