Orbis, RSI combine in government and commercial info management push

Business intelligence platform maker Orbis Technologies has merged with content management provider RSI Content Solutions to create a new Annapolis, Md.-based company with footprints in government and commercial markets worldwide.

The combined enterprise content and information management provider will operate as Orbis Technologies with almost 300 customers in 50 cities across four continents. Orbis’ government customers include military and intelligence agencies along with others in the federal community.

Orbis’ major contracts include a position on the Navy’s SeaPort-e vehicle for professional services and a GSA Schedule contract.

RSI co-founders Barry Bealer and Lisa Bios will transition into corporate executive vice president roles at Orbis through the transaction. Bealer will serve as corporate EVP for global software sales and Bos will hold the same title for content management software.
