Northrop wins $52.3M option to support aircraft comms platform
Northrop Grumman Information Systems has won a $52.3 million option with the Air Force to continue supporting the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node E-11A platform.
Northrop Grumman Information Systems has won a $52.3 million option with the Air Force to continue supporting the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node E-11A platform.
The Battlefield Airborne Communications Node is an airborne communications relay and gateway system hosted on a variety of aircraft that provides flexible radio connectivity across the battlespace for airborne and surface operators.
Under the option, Northrop will provide personnel, facilities, aircraft subsystems and support equipment.
Work will be performed at Kandahar Air Base, Afghanistan, and Wichita, Kan., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 23, 2015.
Funding in the amount of $31.8 million is obligated at the time of the award.
