GSA is seeking information on the availability of potential sources to provide market research support on state and local purchasing methods and programs.

The General Services Administration is seeking information on potential sources to provide market research support on state and local purchasing methods and programs.

GSA'S Federal Acquisition Service wants to determine through a May 29 sources-sought notice the availability of expertise in preparing studies, research and analysis, and supporting data on state and local purchasing initiatives.

Specifically, GSA wants to learn more about state and local governments' needs and regulations as they pertain to purchasing policy, regulations, legislative and budgetary matters, buying practices, and collaborative processes.

The research will be used to establish new relationships or further existing ones with state and local governments for the purchasing of products and services related to information technology, disaster recovery and law enforcement.

Companies responding to the notice should describe their capabilities, similar projects they have conducted as a prime or subcontractor, central contractor registry information, GSA schedule information, current federal contract work and current socio-economic status of the company as it relates to the North American Industrial Classification System.

Responses to the sources-sought notice are due June 6. The information received will be used for planning purposes only. A request for proposal is expected to be issued June 18.
