Pearson completes Blueprint acquisition

Pearson Government Solutions Inc. has completed its acquisition of Blueprint Technologies Inc. in a move that bolsters its enterprise architecture services.
The Arlington, Va., company announced in mid-March that it was acquiring Blueprint Technologies, a private, woman-owned, small business that specializes in architecture-based solutions. The terms of the stock transaction were not disclosed.
Pearson Government Solutions originally expected to close the deal in early April. Blueprint Technologies is now an operating business unit of Pearson Government Solutions, called Pearson Blueprint Technologies, and remains at its location in Vienna, Va. Blueprint's co-founder Jeanne O'Kelley will lead the unit.
The acquisition will strengthen Pearson's consulting services in areas such as business process modeling, enterprise architecture modeling, transition strategies, legacy application analysis, requirements analysis, Business Process Execution Language and service oriented architecture development, Pearson officials said.
