SRA will serve Justice with IT systems

SRA International Inc. won a six-year, $80 million task order from the Justice Department to provide information technology systems and services to the Office of Justice Programs, the company said today.

The task order was awarded under the Information Technology Support Services-3 contract, a multiple-award vehicle for providing system development lifecycle services to Justice and other federal agencies.

The Office of Justice Programs is responsible for developing the country's capacity to prevent and control crime, improve the criminal and juvenile justice systems, increase knowledge about crime and related issues and assist crime victims.

Under the task order, SRA will develop, enhance, integrate and maintain the Office of Justice Programs' IT systems. The company's work will focus on the Grants Management System, which along with Grants.gov Web site, automates the application and approval process for the $8 billion in federal funds that the office issues to state, local and private organizations.

SRA also will focus on the Integrated Financial Management Information System, the office's chief financial accounting system for its operations and grants programs.

Fairfax, Va.-based SRA provides IT services and solutions to federal government agencies. It employs about 4,000 workers and had revenue of $615.8 million for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2004. The company is No. 27 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of prime federal contractors.
