Cerenade to provide e-forms to State Department

Cerenade Inc., a developer of electronic forms management software, won a State Department contract to provide its Visual eForms software, officials of the Los Angeles company announced.

Visual eForms will save money for the department by cutting staff time spent on document management and cutting the cost of processing electronic transactions, according to company officials. The software will also help the State Department meet federal mandates for reducing paperwork and ensuring that technology is accessible to people with disabilities, according to Cerenade.

The contract, worth several hundred thousand dollars, covers the purchase and maintenance of the software until the application is no longer used, according to Cerenade spokeswoman Victoria Hurley.

Under the contract, Cerenade will provide on-site implementation, integration and training, Hurley said.

The Visual eForms software meets the department's needs without add-ons or supplementary programming, said Phillip Yadidian, chief executive officer of Cerenade.

Visual eForms provides:

• A central solution resulting in lower repository costs and reduced time required for support and service


• Full support for digital signatures and accessibility for people with disabilities


• Form conversion capability for migration of legacy forms


• Support of industry standards enabling the exchange and sharing of information between agencies in the future


• An extensible solution that can be used as a front-end to other applications
