Find opportunities — and win them.

Project Night Owl focuses on how the Air Force works in a secure cloud environment based on Microsoft's Azure offering.

Leidos has won a five-year, $148.8 million contract to act as the managed services provider of operations and sustainment support for what the Air Force calls a “major SAP weapon system.”

The Defense Department said Friday that the Project Night Owl contract tasks Leidos to deliver network, application, infrastructure and security support services.

Solicitation documents released in June outline how the Air Force will lean on those services to aid in how it works in a secure cloud environment based on Microsoft's Azure offering.

Air Force officials received seven proposals that were submitted in the form of white papers via the Data Operations Commercial Solutions Opening, which the service branch established to be a more streamlined acquisition.

Work will take place through Feb. 2, 2030.
