The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency uses this procurement to ensure its offices and agencies can connect to IT systems.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency has given industry a preview of its plan for recompeting a technology service desk support task order with a value of at least $100 million.
CBP will award the potential six-year order via STARS III, the government-wide IT services and solutions vehicle reserved for 8(a) small businesses. CBP has also penciled in May 26 as the date to release a final solicitation, according to a Saturday notice in the Homeland Security Department’s acquisition planning forecast system.
Patriot LLC won the incumbent order in 2020 at a $45.5 million ceiling with 78% of it obligated to-date. That order is slated to expire on Dec. 15, according to Deltek data.
The agency uses the technology service desk order to acquire support in documenting, diagnosing, addressing and tracking reported information system issues or requests. CBP wants to ensure its offices and enforcement agencies have access to the agency’s.
Work under the task order primarily takes place through telephone, email, chat or web-based self service with limited in-person support.
