The Social Security Administration is planning a flexible, task order-based contract for colocation data center services.

The Social Security Administration is looking to rent some more data center space in the western United States.

Details of the contract are sparse, but a notice on FedConnect and Sam.gov says that SSA wants access to colocation data center. The agency will buy data center space on an as needed basis.

SSA is setting up the procurement as an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract. The solicitation is expected any time.

The agency is using Product Service Code DC10-IT and Telecom – Data center as a service. SSA is also using the NAICS code 518210 for computing infrastructure providers, data processing, web hosting and related services.

Interested bidders need a FedConnect account to access the solicitation.

SSA has not provided an estimate of the value or ceiling of the contract. This appears to be a new contract opportunity.
