DOD adds trio to $48B tech research vehicle
The Defense Department now has 44 companies that support the preservation and sharing of information and knowledge related to military technology.
Three more companies have won positions on a potential $48 billion contract vehicle for broad research-and-technology services to the Defense Department.
Delta Resources, General Dynamics’ IT services unit, and Modern Technology Solutions Inc. join the unrestricted portion of the IAC-MAC vehicle that now stands at 44 companies, the Pentagon said in its awards digest Thursday.
DOD’s move to add those three companies follows the initial choice of 13 firms in early October through an on-ramp process for IAC-MAC, which was originally awarded in 2018 to 28 companies.
The department started the on-ramp in the fall of 2023 to welcome more contractors into the fold.
IAC-MAC primarily supports the Defense Technical Information Center, a DOD field activity responsible for the preservation and sharing of information and knowledge related to military technology.
DTIC also runs the Information Analysis Center network that technical analysis and data support to the service branches, combatant commands, DOD agencies and senior Pentagon civilian leadership.
Work will take place through Sept. 29, 2027.
GovTribe data puts the overall IAC-MAC obligation figure at $10.4 billion to-date with HII, Booz Allen Hamilton, KBR, ManTech and CACI International as the top five recipients.
