Company alleges the award violated terms of the EIS contract.

MetTel has lodged a challenge to an Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions task order that went to Verizon.

Verizon won the task order from the Coast Guard to provide a variety of telecommunications services under EIS. EIS is a government-wide acquisition contract for telecommunications and network infrastructure services.

MetTel, officially Manhattan Telecommunications Corp., argues that the Coast Guard violated the terms of the EIS contract when it made the award to Verizon. The value of the task order is not available.

The company filed the protest on Oct. 15 and the Government Accountability Office will make its ruling by Jan. 23.

GSA awarded the EIS vehicle to 10 companies in 2017. Since then, they have competed for task orders.

According to GovTribe data, AT&T has won the most task orders with over $2.3 billion, followed by Verizon with $1.1 billion. MetTel is fourth on the list with over $207 million in task orders.

Agencies can continue to place orders under EIS through July 30, 2031.
