Trax books $265M NASA logistics recompete
The company has supported NASA's Goddard Space Flight center since 1995 and will continue doing so with this contract's third iteration.
Trax International Corp. has booked a potential five-year, $265 million contract that continues its logistics and other types of technical services in support of NASA missions.
Work will primarily take place at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, that is one of the space agency's 10 major field centers. Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia and NASA's headquarters in Washington, D.C. are the other primary locations of performance.
“Since 1995, supporting our nation’s space program and Goddard Space Flight Center has been a core focus of our company,” Trax's chief executive Brian Clark said in a release Monday. “We’re honored that NASA has continued to entrust us to provide satellite launch and space mission support. The critical mission of GSFC is to pioneer the future of space exploration and earth sciences.”
NASA awarded this third iteration of the Goddard Logistics Services Contract on July 3 and received four proposals for it, according to Federal Procurement Data System records.
Trax's operations services will cover areas such as transportation, materials and equipment management, warehousing, supply chain management and export control for NASA.
For Trax, securing this Goddard recompete follows its June booking of a potential $692 million contract with the Army that is the company's largest prime award.
Trax will work with the Army's Test and Evaluation Command over five years under the latter contract.
