CGI Federal books $120M in USPTO financial, security solution work

The company will provide its Momentum software for revenue collection and modernize document management systems using cloud technology.

CGI Federal has secured a pair of U.S. Patent and Trademark contracts that will see the company provide security and financial management solutions to the agency.

One of the awards is a five-year, $84 million blanket purchase agreement that calls for CGI to provide its Momentum software in support of support revenue collection efforts. USPTO is the first agency to use the Treasury Department’s Financial Management Quality Service Management Office shared services marketplace to buy Momentum and associated services.

The second award is a five-year, $36 million Alliant 2 task order, CGI will support USTPO’s Certified Copy Center and Assignment Center products. CGI will focus on modernizing the systems using cloud technology to support transactions for certified copies of patent and trademark documents. The systems also support the transfer of patent and trademark ownership.

Both awards are part of CGI’s long-time support for the agency.
