Abacus wins $123M nuclear directorate support contract

The Air Force organization sought an industry partner to help in policy development and other functions related to nuclear weapons.
Abacus Technology has won a potential five-year, $123.7 million contract for technical advisory and assistance services to the Air Force's nuclear, command, control and communication directorate.
One other company submitted a proposal for the contract to make it a head-to-head showdown, the Pentagon said in its Friday awards digest.
The Air Force's NC3 organization at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts sought an industry partner to help in functions such as policy development, plus program management and administration. NC3 is looking to enhance procedures related to nuclear weapons.
Work will take place over one initial base year and up to four individual option years.
The locations of performance include the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center at Hanscom AFB, Kirtland AFB in New Mexico, Eglin AFB in Florida, Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado, Offutt AFB in Nebraska and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.
