DHS lays out timeline for geospatial support recompete

The Homeland Security Department has penciled in its intended date to launch the recompete of a family of geospatial technical expertise contracts that support DHS' emergency management mission.

A solicitation for the third iteration of the Geospatial Technical Support Services blanket purchase agreements should go live on or around May 30. Awards should follow in the third quarter of this calendar year, DHS said in a Tuesday notice to its Acquisition Planning Forecast System.

GTSS 3.0's ceiling will likely exceed $100 million over its five-year ordering period. The current GTSS 2.0 pacts were awarded in September 2019 and are slated to expire on Sept. 29 of this year.

The incumbents are Ardent Management Consulting, ASET Partners, Digital Cloak, INCATech (also known as Innovative Computing & Applied Technology), MHM Innovations, Quiet Professionals and StrongBridge.

DHS uses the GTSS BPAs to acquire services such as program and project management, system engineering and lifecycle support, geospatial information management and support, data management, enterprise and technical architecture, and operations and maintenance.

That work is intended to aid in DHS' responses to natural and manmade disasters, border security support, planning for national security events, critical infrastructure protection, immigration and customs enforcement, situational awareness, maritime security, and law enforcement missions.
